I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. If RPG is your thing, Dragon Age: Origins delivers it without much filler. It helps that the premise (When history tells the story of the Fifth Blight, what will be said about the) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.
A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Dragon Age: Origins leans hard into RPG, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. On paper it is When history tells the story of the Fifth Blight, what will be said about the, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
