Antichamber is by far one of the best games I have ever played
Antichamber is by far one of the best games I have ever played. It is a puzzle adventure game similar to Portal. You have many different types of guns that can modify the blocks around you to help you solve puzzles. In addition, Antichamber uses a variety of different ways to mess with your head, such as the countless numbers of geometrical paradoxies. For example, you can walk through walls that you thought were solid. If you turn around at almost any point of the game the end will be right behind you. This game is extremely hard to explain but it is incredible you really must try it to find out.

I will be honest
I will be honest. When I first played Antichamber I didn’t like it. The visuals put me off, not because I wanted better visuals but because I had this dumb notion that if the graphics were not good then how could I trust that the puzzles were watertight? Once I finally overcame this utter stupidity, I was ready to play Antichamber. Not all puzzle games need to be visually awesome like Talos, Witness and Portal. I honestly don’t know what I was thinking. Maybe I was high…..but I couldn’t have been high because when I started getting into Antichamber I felt like I was REALLY high….like call me an ambulance, my brain is turning into jelly, high. Don’t be like me. Please, if you like amazing puzzle games, play Antichamber for more than 3 hours. You have to cross that threshold. Let getting the blue gun be like “somewhere outside Barstow on the edge of the desert,” and then you can really dive deep into the rabbit hole. PROS

I've never had reason to write a review before
I've never had reason to write a review before. You need this game. Consitently, from its first moment to its last, it engages your assumptions and expectations in a way that opened my eyes to the potiental of video games as a medium. Even through a relatively simple mechanic of interaction with the environment - i.e laying blcoks down and picking them up - it cultivates a very real sense of agency for the player. The game is not linear at all, in fact most of my difficulties happened because I was trying to do some puzzles before I had the rescources to do them. The paths branch off in all directions, and there are multiple ways into nearly every room. Each puzzle teaches you specific aspects of the rules, with later puzzles and abilites building and expanding on those lessons. All of this happens in a place where the laws of physics and spacial reality do not apply. I've had lots of my friends try playing this game, its crazy to see how differently they approach things. My favorite part of the game though is how you create the narrative for yourself. I felt like I was unraveling a crazy, Lost style conspiracy complete with mysterious "radical other." Don't take my word for it, put a tab on your tounge, buy this game, and grow
