About Alice: Madness Returns

Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice’s family from her and left her mind horrifically scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, where she struggled to confront her demons by slipping further into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Now, after ten years, she has finally secured her release—yet she still bears the heavy psychological burden of that tragic event. With her mind in tatters, she is unable to resolve the fear prompted by her strange memories, dreams, and visions. Perhaps she’ll do better in Wonderland. She always has. She travels there, seeking what the “real” world can’t provide: security, knowledge, and the truth about the past. But in her absence, Wonderland too has suffered. Something has gone horribly wrong, and now a great evil is descending upon what once was her beautiful refuge. Can Alice save Wonderland—and herself—from the madness that consumes them both? Key Features:. Intense 3rd person action: Use multiple upgradeable melee weapons, including the explosive Teapot Cannon, the punishing Hobby Horse, and the classic Vorpal Blade. . . Exactly what I hoped for

Alice: Madness Returns is like no other, featuring various dark and twisted elements that many games never venture into. I have a close relationship with this game, as my mother introduced me to it at a young age on the Xbox 360. As I grew up replaying this game over and over, the display of mental health and the Victorian-accurate portrayal of women are things captured perfectly by American McGee. Wonderland, being portrayed as a sanctuary at first, encompasses Alice’s mental state, displaying the outer surface as peaceful, but as we peel back the layers, we see trauma and pain throughout, acting as a display of Alice’s character. This is by far one of the best adaptations of Alice, and it’s a shame EA shelved it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!! at first i thought i would be no good as i am not the best at puzzles and cant stand games that need hours of playtime for one continuous thing. however,, in chapter one the game slowly introduced me into how to wriggle around the puzzles, use my weapons, check for flying pigs or clocks and make myself tiny to see the hidden paths. it sticks with you once you get it, and every boss or part of the story has a trick to it thats easy to figure out once you've mastered those basics. game mechanics aside; the story is so attractive itself. you can find shards of memories that explain a tad bit on what mightve happened as well as the intro and end to every chapter, even cheshire cat and the other people who can talk, give us very subtle but mysterious hints towards everything. occasionally there is beautifully animated cutscenes that im sure you can recognize what i mean if you come across it yourself, and displays everything in such a beautiful way. lastly; the vibe. both the enviroment and all the changes of outfits alice has is so astronomically pretty. the new scenery within each quest, all the statues of alice and even the spawning point at the orphanage, such a mystical feeling. the dialogue often supports this with its many verbalized philosophical viewpoints from each character, everything about this game is beautiful. 1000000/10.
