New DLC Available. We're giving our players the tools to immortalize any of the battles in this war on their own! Requires The Syrian Battlefields DLC.. New DLC Available. . About the Game. This war has been going on for a long time, and it's hard to say when it will be over. We got so used to it that news from Syria has become trivial. We've even already forgotten how it all started, and where the roots of the terrible terror lie – the terror that swept across Europe in recent years. Syria is all over the news, and it's become a subject of many documentaries. We, however, want to show the story through the lens of the game and don't let the word "game" mislead you. This game does not claim to be a history lesson, but it shows the course of the war in all its seriousness through the major milestones, from the first days till the latest important victories over terror. What kind of a game is it?. Syrian Warfare is a real time strategy with a high degree of realism. This game is not about a base construction or units production. The player will have to determine their forces characteristics before they go into action. And during the mission, they would be able to select
The game is surprisingly good. Ai is a bit stupid, pathways which armor and vehicles choose are not that good and sometimes annoying. But otherwise the game is fun. The mechanics of the game are really enjoyable and quite easy to understand. Graphics and the HUD are quite 2006ish, but can't call that a drawback for that price. P.S This review is just about the gameplay and not some politics bs - you can believe what you want about what is happening in Syria, but the game is nice. p.p.s About optimistion and overall performance - playing on my Asus ROG gl502vs and getting 40-60 fps with the graphics maxed. Sometimes, in dence city fights, will have drops to 30 fps.
On 8 December 2024, the Assad regime collapsed during a major offensive by opposition forces. Victory to the Syrian revolution, may the souls of our martyrs rest in peace. Mar 15, 2011 – Dec 8, 2024
I hope that people who complain about Russian Propaganda realise that this is exactly how it feels playing games or watching war movies that glorifies USA. Anyways, despite crashing at load/save almost 10% of the time, I will go as far as highly recommending playing the game. I'd rank it as one of the best modern era RTS games. I finished the game and I think it has great potential, developers should continue improving and patching it. It feels like a mix between 'Soldiers: Heroes of World War II' (the great father of Men of War AS2), and 'Cuban Missile Crisis' games. I don't think this subject was covered by any RTS game, which makes it unique. Units, powers balance were very well done and I think the realism factor is pretty convincing and it will give you hard time and makes you think and plan, it's challenging in a good way and shouldn't push you to give up on the game. You'll feel your accomplishments because milestones are well defined, and I loved the idea of carrying over all your purchased units, looted units, and unit's ranking progress. Air units control is impressive and definitely better than most RTS games, also landscapes are rich with buildings and structures, maps are not boring. Game can use better voice dialogues and better storytelling techniques that develop feeling of attachment and empathy towards main characters and civilians. Also the UI needs improvements. I will for sure purchase and play the DLCs, I just hope the crashing problem is resolved.
