Dev's communication banned me for replying to a bunch of Chinese that were harassing me on a NA server. They called me Caucasian pig and said "my mother shouldn't have born me" lol They didn't get banned but I did. Lovely. Other than that, this is the most grinding game you will ever do and not in a fun way. Best way to get your health up? Let a fox attack you for days. Literally, days. 400 hours later and you are still forced to do the most mind numbing tasks. Only way to level in this game is to sit at a workbench and AFK for hours.

Frustrating more than fun
Edit - Adding to this, the gms joined our guild and destroyed items because it was reported by a chinese player - we had to wait hours for the gms to come BACK and give our items back. while we were actively being raided by hacking chinese players, which they did nothing to assist with (players taking 100,000 damage and not dying, one shotting 22,000 life wagons with a weapon, swinging and hitting 3 times in one swing on another player, etc). This game is NOT playable and the gms are actively making it worse. DO NOT PURCHASE UNTIL THE GMS CRACK DOWN ON CHEATERS. I have hundreds of hours invested in the game, and as far as the game goes I love it, but every other group we run into are cheating consistently and dropping obscenities in chat. And we are talking game breaking exploits, damage exploits, exploiting to make copper, literally walking through base walls and bypassing hours and hours of defenses by exploiting through the walls. Will update this if the gms ever ban anyone who we have seen exploiting.

Great ideas, rough execution
If you aren't Chinese don't bother buying this game, all servers including the North American servers are 90% populated by Chinese players who not only hack, but relentlessly harass and destroy any player who isn't also Chinese. They quite literally make it impossible for you to play whether alone or with friends. I used google lens to translate some of the things they say in the server chat and it's always along the lines of "foreigners have no ability" "foreigner located at (location name)" etc etc. They deliberately communicate and mark locations of everyone with an English lettered name, build structures all around your base to deny you any way to mine resources, and will have near round the clock dudes in their guild who camp out on paths near your base if you DO manage to sneak out for a resource run. For those reading this that wanna be all trolly and "git gud" "it's PvP" etc. Go ahead, buy the game, waste your money, when you get targeted deliberately around the clock simply because you aren't Chinese, don't say I didn't warn you. This review is here to save people wasted time and money because the developers have not set up any way to IP Lock servers to being strictly North American, European, or Asian etc in an effort to improve the playing experience of players across the whole world. There is no avoiding being excessively targeted to the point of driving you away from playing the game, and the message from the Chinese players in the server chats is exactly that: "Foreigners are not welcome."
