Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is the new real-time strategy game adapted from Games Workshop’s famous tabletop game that portrays the epic space battles of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Expanding on the groundwork laid out by the first game, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a full-blown sequel - bigger, richer, more impressive and more ambitious than the original game. It will include, at launch, all 12 factions from the original tabletop game and its expansions it is based on: the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and finally, the Tyranids. The latest dramatic story development in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Gathering Storm and the 13th Black Crusade, serves as the canvas for three extensive and dynamic campaigns with high narrative values, focusing on the Tyranids, the Necrons, and the Imperium. Explore the systems in the Eye of Terror, with or against renowned characters such as Belisarius Cawl, Gulliman and more. With bigger battles, refined gameplay, improved multiplayer modes and features for a better and more balanced online experience, as well
Had a big battle with a chaos fleet. My little escort ship was harassing an already damaged chaos cruiser Gets a bit too close and the chaos cruiser boards my little escort ship Legions of heretics enter the escort ship and my crew starts dropping like flies Weapons damaged Engines still work There is only one thing to do. The escort ship turned to collision course ALL AHEAD FULL, THE EMPEROR PROTECTS The little escort ship with only a fraction of its crew makes the last dash Strikes the center of the chaos cruiser, blowing it and the escort ship with all the chaos boarders inside to oblivion 10/10, would ascend to martyrdom again
Dear Devs - thanks for taking your time and making the right call to fine tune the game. I think a lot of developers can learn from your example. A really excellent sequel and you have proven that some companies can consistently produce excellent 40k games.
Great game. Enjoyable campaign, surprisingly good writing and excellent combat. The 4x layer is a bit thin, but the spectacle of combat more than makes up for that. There's just one big issue: Easy AntiCheat will ruin your fun sooner or later. For me, it was when I booted up one day with a campaign almost 100 turns in and just got locked out. Rebooted, still locked out. Tried command line arguments and everything else I could find online, still locked out of the damn game. All because someone thought it'd be a good idea to include Epic's terrible piece of hypersensitive spyware by default without even an option to disable it. It eventually resumed working the next day, but I remain deeply unhappy at being arbitrarily locked out of the game for so long - especially since it's far from unlikely that it'll happen again. I don't even want to play multiplayer - I just want to have fun beating the enemies of the Emperor in the campaign so why do I have to wrangle a horribly designed anti-cheat app that's practically designed to hurt consumers? Oh, and you can forget about getting support for it. Steam redirects you to the developers, Tindalos... who do not have any kind of customer service whatsoever.
