I wanted to love this, but it never quite got its hooks into me. The Co-op side of AudioSurf is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. It advertises Ride your music. Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your; what you get is a thinner version of that. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Wait for a deep sale.
This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. The Co-op mix is what kept me playing; AudioSurf knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (Ride your music. Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
